The Animal Kingdom (A.K.)

THE WORLDPLACES

12/1/2024

The Animal Kingdom (A.K) is sprawling archipelago of interconnected islands and canals that orbit a central main island, Downtown. Companies such as King's Rock, Feel Good Inc, and other titans of industry reside here. It is said that if you stood on top of King's Rock and looked out against the horizon, you would be unable to see the glorious city in its entirety.

The canals serve as a main expressway and transport for goods to and from the A.K, with bridges that also connect the land masses together for foot and vehicular travel. Each island bears its own identity, often times its own culture. Before the city became the techno metropolis it is today, it was still a place of homage for many animals. Its abundant resources, strategic position to the ocean and majestic beauty are a tribute to its power. The land perfectly encompasses a majority of biomes necessary for many different animals to coexist peacefully.

Over time, this dynamic has made the A.K. a melting pot, the largest city in the modern world. Animals from all over seek to live here, if not to improve their lives but also to sample its futuristic wonders. While far beyond its boundaries, in The Wilds, animals still exist in True Nature, The pressure from the A.K.'s ever expanding boarder push farther outwards into the untamed lands as the demand to live here has quintupled in the last couple decades.
