King's Rock

The main opposition for the Underground. King's Rock Inc. is the pinnacle of corporate greed and exploitation of the natural world. Their monopoly of the Animal kingdom has pushed out the smaller grassroots companies, and bought up the rest that were unable to resist its powerful grasp. Run by the ruthless CEO Lionel Rich their domination exists through controlling the Food Chain, as well as large acquisitions of all the land now expanding outwards from the A.K. If you want to buy or rent a building, parcel of land or any thing else, you would have to go through King's Rock. They are also a major provider in tech and services for the city, and are heavily invested in every sector so that they alone control a majority stake in the entirety of the Animal Kingdom.

In a lot of ways, all other companies bow to the whim of King's Rock. No regulatory organization has proven worthy of challenging their authority, and continue they pillage once beautiful untainted wilderness to make room for buildings, factories and facilities, leaving only a shred of the once bountiful landscape.

They pillage the resources, water, minerals and rare materials once sustainably harvested are now replaced with automated drones that replicate what a humble animal once did to make a, but in a fraction of the time.

Some praise the company for building the great city into what it is today, improving the quality of a exponentially growing number of animals, bringing forth new advanced technologies and propping up business they have acquired to create the sprawling metropolis as we see it now. But at what cost were these advancements? Animals further and further from their true nature, and a city as illustrious as it may be slowly ruining away from the bottom up...

Members of the Underground are tired of living under the thumb of King's Rock. They control the very fabric of the A.K. and fight to control the digital frontier on The Web as well.
